I killed my very old grinder with an unwise attempt at a particularly hard nutmeg. The plastic center under the blade shattered on it - so I started the search for a new one.I was considering the Krups or Cuisinart grinders that get decent reviews, but they didn't quite hit the mark on all the features I was interested in. Then I spotted this one and I'm really happy I took a chance on it.Here's what I like:- I got powder fine Garam Masala which included pieces of cinnamon stick, black cardamons, cloves and other small and large hard seeds. I had a few chunks of nutmeg in there, but micro-planed most of it into the mix - as I was still scarred from the demise of my old spice grinder.- It's quiet despite the 200 watt motor- The blade assembly and cup are all metal, and the black bit under the blade seems low enough that it wouldn't break- Rubber gasket stops the counter being covered in spice powder- Removable cup helps make it a breeze to empty and clean- Attractive style - I chose white but you can get it in black too.- Rubber feet stop it dancing across the counter- You can wind the cord underneath to get the desired lengthAfter I cleaned it with a small soft bristle brush and damp cloth, it didn't smell of spices very much, but I don't plan on using it for coffee beans.The pic of the ground spice makes it looks rougher than it was when I rubbed it between my fingers to check. I included a pic one bit of the manual, but it's worth glancing through the other page of use and care instructions.It is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, and this Kalorik grinder checked all the boxes for me.Time to go cook delicious things!
