This device is nearly perfect! First of all, it is made of all metal, no plastic. The only non-metal detail is the optional non-skid silicone holding ring, and also the bristles of the cleaning brush. The body and the handle are made of heavy-gauge aluminum alloy, all moving and load-bearing parts are made of steel, and the conical burr is made of precision-cut and titanium-plated 440 high nitrogen steel. The device has an attractive brushed finish, with brushed honey-comb design on the middle part of the body. This high-quality grinder feels hefty in the hand. Indeed, it weighs 525 g/18.5 oz.The coarseness of the grind is regulated with an outer ring, with high enough precision. The range from 0 to 3 is not recommended to prevent damage, and at the 9 setting you can disassemble the device. The capacity is 25 g. So far, I've used it several times for one large cup of coffee, medium-coarse, for use in pour-over, in drip coffee maker and in jazvah pot. I need about 10-12 g for that, close to half the capacity. The long handle and the high-quality core and burr allow me to crank it in 30 to 45 seconds without much strain. I tried also the fine setting, slightly above 3 (just a bit harder to crank than medium settings), and the coarse one, almost 9 (the easiest and the fastest). The result came out as expected.The grinder is very giftable, it comes in a nice box, with a two-compartment black plush drawstring bag for storage. You can separate the body from the cover with handle and the brush, so they wouldn't rattle or scratch each other.The description of the item and illustrations on this site are much more helpful than the provided manual. The English side of the manual doesn't recommend to disassemble the item without consulting a technician. The Chinese side seem to provide the scheme of disassembling the unit. The video in the item description, though, provides you with a helpful detailed guide should you need to disassemble and reassemble the grinder, and just doesn't recommend doing this often.
