Bought this to make cold brew. Should've got an electric one, as grinding can be tedious. (My bad.)However, the grinder works great. I will say that the metal casing does not indicate that the entire grinder is made of metal. It has metal parts, but it's not completely metal. In the pictures you can see that the case sort of slides up and you can see the plastic inside.In my last picture, you can see a different color metal stripe in the middle. This twists so you can control the grind, however, it's positioned such that the adjustment can change while you are actually grinding. In my case, I set it at a rough grind, but halfway through grinding I realized it had got changed to the finest grind instead. Might just have to get the hang of it.I only make single cup coffee at a time so this is perfect for me. I use this daily and also when traveling or camping. It's small so if you are making several cups at once this might not be your best choice. For single cup, I highly recommend as it is easy to use compared to ceramic ones. Great companion to my Aeropress.As described. Works and has a very solid feel to it. Been using it since I got it and am happy. Got it to replace a failed stainless steel unlit that i have seen for $9.98 to $70 for the same unit. Clear plastic windows on that one to check coffee level. Failed in a couple of weeks. Amazon was great on return and bought this one. This one has a nice storage pouch that helps protect it. Would buy again.This is my second hand grinder. My first hand grinder came with ceramic burr and was cheaper. This one comes with stainless steel burr and cost around $30 dollars more. It also comes with a travel bag, no brush though. Even though I don't own an expensive hand grinder, this one is making my coffee routine easier already. It is more powerful, consistent and comfortable to hold. I don't have to tighten screw beneath the ceramic burr every 20 turns, guess what size of ground will I get after reassemble it from cleaning and how to hold the crank better so my knuckles won't get caught while turning it.This is a learning curve for me, even just for a hand grinder. The only down side of it is that it holds a little bit shy of 20oz. I might be wrong but every time I pour in 20oz beans it's hard to fit the crank on tightly but surprisingly it still grinds fine. Overall, I am very satisfied with this grinder.I drink one small Moka espresso a day so it needs to be perfect! I also hated the noise of an electric grinder. I purchased a ceramic burr coffee grinder and it was useless. This grinder produces the perfect grind for espresso! I use Level 2 and it is a lovely FINE grind. The dial is very easy to regulate the grind. The handle is comfortable and efficient. Having said all this it IS small so anyone wanting to make more than two cups may be frustrated. So if you want a small quantity of perfectly ground coffee this grinder is for you.After having this product for less than two weeks, the metal outside covering has already came off to top portion. The core of this grinder is plastic. Also, while grinding you have to regularly shake this grinder to help keep the coffee beans falling into the grinder.Otherwise, this grinder does a good job grinding the coffee beans up to 6 different grind sizes. If you don't feel like spending $50+ dollars, this is definitely the grinder for you.This is a beautiful, heavy-duty, sturdy, very high quality grinder. I’ve read that manual grinders can require an arm workout to use but it couldn’t have been easier no matter the setting. The handle is the perfect length, weight and fit and attaches/removes super easy. The dial to choose your grind setting is easy to set and wonderful. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.Vzaahu coffee grinder is super quick and easy to crank on settings 4 and 5 for French press. It is not "hard" on 2-3 either when I'm making plain coffee pot style, but it just requires more turns and therefore stamina. This is to be expected or else I would have shelled out for an electric one. I prefer to build arm stamina over wasting cash in the persist of excellent coffee. I took away one star for ease of cleaning as it is not easy for beginners to find a method to clean the gears or info on what is required. I will now have to search for a long skinny bristled brush.
