This grinder produces good Turkish Coffee (nutty-fruity flavor notes along with a vaguely caramel note, using fresh, dark Arabica beans). Foam is of poor composition and dissipates easily (though foam-up during cooking is good): the coffee's flavor is most important though, so the grinder is adequate in this regard.To achieve its best flavor, actual rapid boiling (5 seconds) after initial foam removal is required.Grinding for Turkish grind: turn tightening wheel fully tight, then loosen very slightly - 1/4 turn - fully tight will result in gummed-up grinding burr halves (see cleaning next) and no functionality (and may also dullen burr edges). Grind slowly, 1 to 1-1/4 revolutions per sec. (faster seems to kick-out fragrments from entering burr region).Cleaning: disassemble and clean both burr halves with a stiff-bristled toothbrush (not the brush provided), brushing along then across grooves, dipping brush often in hot water.After first use, which wasn't a good grind, it wouldn't grind and what did come out was unusable. You get what you pay for.I really like this coffee grinder.The inside part spins you have grab the outside very tight so the it would not spin return it after 5 tries spend more money on something elseWe are actually using this as a spice grinder. As such, it works pretty well. Easy to clean and comes with a brush, It is good in many ways because it is manual. You can take it anywhere and can be ideal for campers. One thing for sure is that the handle comes off easily, so if you are leaving the house with it, make sure you don't lose that. You can adjust the size of the grind- fine, medium or course. Price is OK for what you are getting.It will start to grind the coffee beans, then it feels like it is stripped and not grinding. Disappointed.
